If a war victim died as a result of injury, you are entitled to a survivor's pension as a widow, surviving partner, orphan or relative in the ascending line.

The pension is paid out to an account held by you or a third party living in the same household as you.

If you wish, the pension can also be paid free of charge as a payment order by Deutsche Postbank AG to your place of residence or usual place of residence.

Procedure

When submitting the application, you specify the desired payment method (account details, account holder).

The pension is paid out free of charge

  • to an account of the person entitled to receive or
  • to an account of a person who lives in the same household as the person entitled to receive it
as a payment order from Deutsche Postbank AG to your domicile or usual place of residence.

In special cases, you can receive the payment as a cash payment from the pension office.
