Open Ship Day
Open Ship Day Hamburg Messe und Congress/ Romanus Fuhrmann

Visitors are invited to come on board many ships during the Open Ship event, where landlubbers of all ages can experience the fascinating world of seafaring at first hand. Immerse yourself in maritime history on the decks of historic sailing ships, or stand on the bridge or take a look at the engine room of a patrol boat. The crews are happy to answer any questions. Some will even demonstrate impressive sailing manoeuvres and show visitors the traditional way of sailing. The berths are located at the Landungsbrücken and Überseebrücke piers, in the Brandenburger Hafen and Hansahafen harbours, and the Oevelgönne and Sandtorhafen (HafenCity) museum harbours.
