Spicy's Spice Museum

The interactive Spicy’s Spice Museum in the old Speicherstadt warehouse complex tells the story of the spice trade.

Spicy's Hamburg

Sacks filled with exotic spices, teas and coffees have been shipped into the port of Hamburg for hundreds of years. And the spice trade is still very much alive today. Visit Spicy's Spice Museum and get a whiff!

Spice Museum

Spicy's Spice Museum is located in a historic warehouse in Hamburg's Speicherstadt — the largest warehouse complex in the world. Here, over 900 exhibits and samples tell the tale of the global spice trade over the past five centuries, and teach you all about the origins, use, storage and quality of the world's different flavours.

A Fragrant Journey

Let the fragrances take you on an adventure through the bazaars of the world, get to know the spicy characteristics of different countries, and learn all about the long journey from seedling to spice. You’ll certainly get inspired to fire up your recipes at home!

Contact Spicy's for information about guided tours for individuals and groups, or about booking the museum as a venue for corporate events.
