A winter village of Scandinavian Christmas houses, plenty of candles and bright lights, a covered lounge, and a cosy campfire make for an atmosphere brimming with ‘hygge’. Live music (Mondays, 5 – 7 pm), DJ sets (Fridays & Saturdays 6 – 9 pm) and carol singing (Thursdays, 5 – 6 pm) round off the exciting features visitors to this local Christmas market can explore.

The small winter village is home to two mulled wine stands with a wide range of hot drinks, including non-alcoholic ones. The food stall operators offer plenty of delicious food, from potato pancakes to currywurst.

Children can look forward to a special programme just for them, including a craft workshop (Tuesdays 4pm – 6pm) and a puppet theatre (Sundays starting on the first Advent at 2pm, 3pm & 4pm). And a magic clown also makes visits to the market (Fridays 3:30 pm).

This year, the Christmas market is focussing on sustainability by switching to reusable tableware. Thanks to the cooperation with Kieler Spülbar, a transportable dishwashing bike, many food items will be served on real dishes.
