Cosy Gänsemarkt Square is a lovely place to warm your hands on a cold winter's day. For instance on a cup of Feuerzangenbowle: this traditional Christmas drink is made by lighting a rum-soaked sugarloaf on fire and letting it drip into mulled wine. The beloved Christmas market at Gänsemarkt tends to get crowded later in the evening — but who minds a bit of extra warmth? In true Christmas spirit, part of the revenue is donated to a good cause.
