A Magical World of Lights
From mid-November to mid-January, the Loki Schmidt Garden in Hamburg transforms into a glittering Christmas wonderland, offering visitors an enchanting escape from the winter gloom. The Christmas Garden Hamburg invites guests of all ages to experience a magical illuminated tour through the botanical garden at dusk. Along the circular route, imaginative light installations and festive decorations create a romantic and atmospheric setting, perfect for a family outing or a peaceful winter stroll. Children can also delight in a nostalgic ride on the charming Lafayette steam carousel, adding a touch of old-fashioned holiday magic.
In addition to the dazzling displays, visitors can warm up with a selection of winter-themed delicacies. Six cosy huts serve seasonal favourites, including mulled wine, roasted chestnuts, fish rolls, quiche, sausages, and hearty stews. Sweet treats like roasted almonds, gingerbread, and red berry jelly add to the festive cheer, with vegetarian options ensuring there’s something for everyone. The Christmas Garden is more than just a light show—it’s a chance to savour the flavours, sounds, and sights of the season in a stunning natural setting.
