Head to Hamburg’s east and enjoy Christmas at fairytale-like Bergedorf Castle, only a short walk away from S-Bahn station Bergedorf. The origins of Hamburg’s last remaining castle date back to the 14th century. The local Christmas market takes place on the castle grounds. Browse through handmade gifts, sip mulled wine at a drink booth or snack on sugary treats by the fire. Children are welcome to participate in handicraft workshops. Bands play Christmas songs on the weekends.
