A Boom in the Cruise Industry
The public hunger for cruises continues unabated: 2.23 million passengers from the German market took a cruise in 2018! The year-on-year passenger growth is up three percent, according to a study by the German Travel Association. In 2019, cruising even grew by another 13.5 percent to 3.1 million guests, according to Statista. The most popular destinations are Northern Europe and the Western Mediterranean.

Exhibitors include shipyards and ship suppliers as well as ship classification societies, tourism organisations, cruise ports and tour operators. From the mini-clinic to the canteen kitchen, from waste disposal to entertainment technology: the operation of a cruise ship is highly complex and a logistical masterpiece. At the parallel conference, high-ranking speakers will also discuss current topics in the industry.
