Eppendorfer Landstrassenfest

This traditional street festival brings live music, flea markets and the legendary Kellner-Rennen to Eppendorf every year.

Eppendorfer Landstraßenfest

A Street Festival for the Whole Family

Every summer, Eppendorfer Landstraße transforms into a vibrant backdrop for music, art, food, and community spirit. The Eppendorfer Landstraßenfest is a much-loved neighbourhood tradition, drawing the whole of Eppendorf together for a weekend of live performances, markets, culinary highlights, and family fun. The festival is accompanied by a campaign — "Respekt für Eppendorf" — encouraging visitors to treat residents, the festival, and the neighbourhood with consideration.

Music, Markets & More

Two stages host a varied live programme throughout the weekend, with cover bands playing rock, pop, and dance classics alongside solo folk artists, acoustic performers, school bands, and dance ensembles from local institutions. Away from the stages, the festival flea market is an absolute must for treasure hunters, offering everything from jewellery and books to china and furniture, while the adjacent Kreativmarkt handicraft market offers artisan crafts and unique fashion items. Food stands along the Eppendorfer Landstraße cater to every taste, from frozen yoghurt and crepes to bratwurst and beyond, and after the festival winds down, local restaurants invite the crowds in to keep the party going.

Community & Family

Two children's areas offer plenty of space to explore and play, with activities including a bouncy castle, disco, and braiding stand, and a small water area in Kellinghusen Park for a refreshing dip. Along the Vereinsmeile "Eppendorfer Leben", local clubs, organisations, social institutions, and initiatives present their work to passers-by, while Eppendorf's bakeries sell cake in support of children's cancer research. And no Eppendorfer Landstraßenfest would be complete without the legendary Kellner-Rennen — the waiter race — in which service staff from restaurants across the area compete for glory.
