Green Food Festival

The Green Food Festival is a vibrant celebration of sustainability in food and agriculture and takes place each year at the Gleishalle Oberhafen. This unique event brings together innovative farmers, manufacturers, and eco-conscious businesses from Hamburg and Northern Germany to highlight the diverse range of sustainable practices and products from the region. Visitors can enjoy live music, screen-printing workshops, children's activities, and captivating fermentation classes. The 2024 festival also features herbal walks for all ages and a special Sunday film screening of Honeyland at the Erste Liebe Studios.

Connecting City and Countryside

In addition to the rich programme of activities, the festival serves as a platform for discussing the future of food. Experts from agriculture, gastronomy, politics, and science will lead insightful talks on topics like veganism, organic farming, and diets focussed on planetary health. With a strong emphasis on connecting the city and countryside, the Green Food Festival offers a flavourful, fun, and informative experience for everyone passionate about sustainable food culture in Hamburg.
