Hamburg’s theatres in one night
On Saturday 5 September 2026, the 22nd Theaternacht Hamburg turns the city’s stages into an open invitation. Thirty-eight theatres — large state houses and smaller independent venues alike — present more than 200 programme items: scenic previews of the coming season, excerpts from favourite productions, artist talks, workshops and backstage tours.
Family afternoon, evening marathon
From 15:00 to 19:00 a dedicated family programme welcomes children aged three to 14 with participatory theatre, puppetry and creative workshops. The evening programme then runs late into the night, letting visitors hop between venues at their own pace. One ticket covers participating theatres; exchange it for a wristband at any venue or at the central infopoint on Heidi-Kabel-Platz before your first visit.
