Anglophiles rejoice! For one weekend a year at Polo Club Hamburg, the British Flair and Country Fair festival brings food, drink, shopping and activities to the just outside the Hanseatic City. Great Britain’s gastronomical delights are front and centre with fish and chips, fudge, game sausages and a traditional British tea among the many refreshments on offer from vendors. Meanwhile, shopping opportunities abound. Peruse stalls full of English antiques and silver, hats and waxed jackets, and even classic wellies!
But you needn’t stretch your budget to join in the fun; there’s plenty to see without opening your wallet as well. You can stop by and enjoy the Highland games or take a gander at the classic car show that rolls in every year. Tap your foot as you watch Scottish and Irish folk dancers reel and jig, and be sure not to miss the sheep dog demonstrations.
