Take a look and try it out - that is the motto of Hamburg’s VELO bicycle fair, which takes place annually at the Rindermarkthalle in St. Pauli. The trade fair concept centres exhibitors and brands for bicycles, mobility and travel as well as hands-on activities and extensive test opportunities.
In addition to local big brands like Stevens and Bergamont, many well-known manufacturers such as Böttcher, i:SY, Maxcycles, Riese & Müller, and Tout Terrain often show up at VELO. Visitors can also expect an e-bike presence from brands such as Ampler Bikes, Coboc, HNF Nicolai, Klever Mobility, QWIC and Stromer, as well as special and recumbent bikes from the likes of Hase Bikes, HP Velotechnik and Icletta.
For parents who are looking for a family vehicle, there are also many examples of suitable cargo and transport bikes.
Visitors can also attend lectures from experts on topics like what you definitely need to take with you on a bike tour or about the experience of competing in the 4,000-kilometre Transcontinental Race.
At VELO Hamburg visitors aren’t just invited to learn about new bicycle trends, but can also try them out themselves. Almost all of the bikes on display can be tested on specially designed test tracks. In order to test bikes under very real conditions, users can even take part in e-bike, mountain bike or racing bike tours through the city. The start and end point is at the event site.
