Telecommunications line: Request approval for relocation or modification

Prerequisites

• You are the owner or operator of the affected
  • public telecommunications networks or
  • telecommunications lines serving public purposes
• They were granted the right of way by the Federal Network Agency.

Documents required

• Current site plans at a scale of 1:500 based on the official real estate cadastre information system ALKIS digital, from which the following can be seen:
  • Exact location and extent of the areas used
  • Space for necessary equipment, excavated material, barriers
  • Street and house numbers of the affected public roads
  • If you do not yet have this information at the time of application, you can submit it later with the notification of commencement of construction.
  • Exact location of the line endpoints, including street and house number,
  • Clear identification and demarcation of the traffic types on the affected public roads (for example, roadway, footpath or cycle path),
  • Route of the pipeline with location and elevation data,
  • Precise location of above-ground electrical cabinets, including the remaining width of the sidewalk, if these are the subject of the application.
  • Trees up to a distance of 5 meters from their crown drip line,
    • with exact location and diameter of trunk and crown drip line (in public spaces according to the data from the digital tree register)
• If applicable: Permits relating to historic preservation, dike law and water law
• If applicable: Approval from the construction site coordination
• In case of representation: Written power of attorney

Please note

Deadlines

Your application is considered approved unless you receive a notification to the contrary within three months of its receipt. In exceptional cases, the responsible authority may extend this period by one month. If this is the case, you will be informed.


You must begin your work within 24 months of receiving the approval, otherwise it will become invalid.

Procedure

• You apply for approval by submitting all necessary documents.
• The responsible authority will review your application and may request further necessary documents from you.
• The responsible authority will inform you of the decision in writing.
• Once approval has been granted, you can indicate the start of construction in the corresponding online service under the same process.

Processing time

Processing usually takes up to 3 months.

Fees

Administrative fees apply. The amount depends on the type and scope of your project.
