Cancelling the regulations for trade fairs, exhibitions or markets

Do you want to have the registration of an event cancelled? Here you can find out how and where to apply for a cancellation.

Detailed description

As an organizer, you can request the cancellation of your already scheduled fairs, exhibitions or markets.


The restrictions on weekly markets, fairs or folk festivals can only be lifted if it is unreasonable for you to hold the event.


For trade fairs, exhibitions or wholesale markets, however, it is sufficient to indicate that the event is not taking place or is no longer taking place.

Prerequisites

  • The event has already been scheduled by the responsible authority.
  • The event will be one of the following types of event:
    • Fair
    • Exhibition
    • wholesale market
    • weekly market
    • Specialty market
    • fair
  • In the case of a weekly market, fair or folk festival, you cannot reasonably be expected to carry it out.

Documents required

  • Informal application with the following information:
    • Information about the organizer
    • Event title
    • Address of the event
    • Reasons for the revocation

Request cancellation of the event well in advance of its scheduled date.

Procedure

  • You submit an application. You can submit this by email, in writing, or via the online service.
  • If you are requesting the cancellation by email or in writing, please send the application and all required documents to the responsible authority.
    • The responsible authority will review your documents and may request further documents from you.
    • You will receive a notification of the decision as well as a fee notice.
    • You pay the fees.
  • If you wish to request the cancellation via the online service, access the online service.
    • Please fill out the application form.
    • Please upload all necessary documentation.
