Extension of the public appointment as an expert/expert

Prerequisites

Your application for the extension of the public appointment and swearing-in as an expert is to be granted if you still have the required professional and personal suitability.

• Depending on state law (ordinance of the state government or statutes of the appointing body: completed questionnaire on professional and personal suitability and, if necessary, further documents (e.g. according to the model statutes of the DIHK: reports prepared in the past, proof of further training, proof of professional liability insurance, etc.)

Procedure

Submit an application for the extension of the public appointment and swearing in as an expert along with any other documents/evidence that may be required.

The competent authority usually decides on the basis of the evidence you have submitted about your application. If there is any further need for clarification, the authority will contact you.

The competent authority decides on your application and informs you of its decision.

Processing time

The competent authority will process your application as quickly as possible. If further clarification is required on the part of the responsible body, processing can only take place after complete clarification.
