Procedure

  • You contact the relevant authority and describe your request for information in such detail that the relevant authority can establish a substantive connection to its files and other information holdings.
  • The responsible authority will review your request and may request any missing information from you.
  • The relevant authority will decide on your application.
  • If the examination is successfully completed, you will be given the requested information.
  • If the review is unsuccessful, you may be given the opportunity to withdraw your application free of charge. Otherwise, you will receive written notification of the rejection of your application.

In most cases, processing takes no longer than one month.




The processing time may be extended to two months if the requested information cannot be provided to you otherwise, or not completely, or if your application requires particularly thorough review. You will generally be notified of this in writing.
