studio expansion funding for professional artistsThe Ministry of Culture and Media supports the studio expansion of professional visual artists who live and work in Hamburg.
Who will receive funding?
Application to the Authority for Culture and Media:
· The Ministry of Culture and Media supports the studio expansion of professional visual artists who live and work in Hamburg.
· Only proven professional artists are supported.
For the studio to be converted, a rental agreement with at least five years of future rental security must be provided. In the case of special construction measures, a declaration of consent from the landlord is required.
The following must be submitted as proof:
a written description of the artistic career
Portfolio of artistic works in reproduction
What is being funded?

· It is necessary that the application is submitted at least three months before the start of the construction work.
The application must contain:
list of costs incurred
detailed description of the construction project (if necessary with plans/sketches)
List of own contributions
cost and financing plan
completed "Application for Grant" form
completed "Construction and Cost Document" form (below under "Downloads")
copy of the rental agreement
if necessary, consent of the landlord
Project applications must be submitted using the current application form.
