Detailed description

If you live in Germany and suffered physical harm as a victim of a violent crime during a temporary stay abroad, you may be eligible for compensation under certain conditions. The compensation is paid as a one-time payment. The amount of the payment depends on the severity of your injury.

Important notes

Prerequisites

You have your residence or habitual abode in Germany.
They were temporarily abroad at the time of the incident.
- A stay abroad is considered temporary if it lasts less than 6 months, or, in the case of school attendance or university studies, no more than one year.
It is a recognized, harmful event.
They have suffered health damage with a degree of impairment of at least 30.
