Apply for continued benefits under the Federal Supply Act

Detailed description

If you have been found to be entitled to medical treatment under the Federal Supply Act (BVG) – or under another law which applies the BVG in whole or in part – then you will receive medical treatment benefits in accordance with the Fourteenth Book of the Social Code (SGB XIV) from 1 January 2024.



If you have previously received benefits under the Federal War Victims' Relief Act (BVG) in conjunction with the Victims' Compensation Act (OEG), the Infection Protection Act (IfSG), the Civilian Service Act (ZDG) or the Soldiers' Welfare Act (SVG), you can apply to have these benefits continue to be granted.



The services are designed to ensure that you receive financial support, medical treatment, and assistance in your daily life, so that your livelihood and necessary care are secured.

  • You are already receiving benefits under the Federal War Victims' Relief Act (BVG) in conjunction with the Victims' Compensation Act (OEG), the Infection Protection Act (IfSG), the Civilian Service Act (ZDG) or the Soldiers' Welfare Act (SVG).
  • Your life situation requires a continued approval of benefits.

Procedure

  • You contact the relevant authority and explain your request. If necessary, you can seek individual advice from the relevant authority.
  • You submit your application to the relevant authority and attach the necessary documents.

The processing time depends on the individual case and usually takes several weeks.
