As a property owner, you usually also have to take care of the disposal of waste that has been dumped on your property against your will.

In the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg, you have various options for reporting "wild rubbish":

• The 'Clean City' hotline takes your reports by telephone on 040-2576 1111.
• You can use the contact form on the Stadtreinigung Hamburg website to report dirt online.
• With the Stadtreinigung Hamburg app, you can also use the "Report rubbish corners" function to display dirty corners. You can take a photo of it and upload it quickly and easily to the app.

Waste that is illegally dumped in the open countryside, in forests or along streams and in public places outside of the designated waste containers is referred to as "wild rubbish". This can be, for example, household and bulky waste, building rubble, construction site waste, car wrecks, but also excess excavated soil (loose and solid rock that is dug up or removed during construction work). It is also "wild rubbish" if the rubbish has been covered with earth. If you want to report "wild rubbish", contact the Hamburg city cleaning department.
The dumping of "wild rubbish" is prohibited and constitutes an administrative offence. It can be fined.
If the person responsible for the "wild rubbish" can be determined, the resulting disposal costs will be charged to them.
