Prerequisites

Documents required

As the organizer of a hiking camp, you must provide the following information in your informal notification:

• Location, date and time of the hiking camp,
• Your name and, where applicable, the name of the persons for whom the goods or services are being sold, including the address where these persons are established; in the case of legal persons, also the legal form and the authorized representatives,
• Information that allows us to contact you quickly and communicate with you directly, including a telephone number and an email address,
• Indication of the commercial register, register of associations or register of cooperatives in which you are registered and the corresponding registration number,
• Wording and form of the intended public announcement,
• If applicable, the name of a representative authorized in writing who will manage the camp on site for you.

The notification must be submitted in duplicate. The second copy is not required for electronic notifications.

Please note

The traveling camp may only be managed on site by the organizer named in the notification or a representative authorized by him in writing; the name of the representative must be communicated to the authority in the notification.

As the organizer of a hiking camp, you must ensure that the public announcement of the hiking camp contains the following information:

• the type of goods or services distributed within the framework of the itinerant trade,
• the location of the traveling camp,
• Your name, your address where you are located, and details that allow us to contact you quickly and communicate with you directly, including a telephone number and an email address,
• Information in an easily recognizable and clearly legible form about the conditions under which the consumer has a right of withdrawal for contracts concluded within the framework of the traveling camp.

In the public announcement of a traveling camp, you may not announce any free gifts in the form of goods or services, including competitions, raffles and prize draws.

The following services or goods may not be sold or brokered in connection with a traveling camp:

• Financial investments
• Insurance contracts and building society contracts as well as real estate consumer loan contracts or corresponding fee-based financing assistance,
• certain medical devices and dietary supplements.

Deadlines

You must notify us of the event of a hiking camp at least 4 weeks before it starts.

Procedure

• You can submit the advertisement by post or electronically via email. Please fill out the advertisement completely.
• The responsible authority will review your information and contact you if anything is missing. You will receive instructions on the next steps and will be informed about the status of your application via email.
• If all conditions are met and all documents are submitted, you will receive confirmation. If not all conditions are met or documents are missing, you will receive appropriate information from the responsible authority.

Exception: Fees apply if an exemption from the requirement to hold a traveling trader's license is applied for.
