Prerequisites
Eligible to vote in the European elections is anyone who has German citizenship on election day, is at least 18 years old, has lived in Germany or in one of the other member states of the European Union for at least three months and is not excluded from the right to vote. If you live abroad: If the other requirements are met, Germans who live outside Germany on election day are also entitled to vote, provided they have lived in Germany for at least three months without interruption or have otherwise resided in Germany. You are also entitled to vote if you have citizenship of one of the other member states of the European Union instead of German.
