The youth.drug.counseling.co.uk branch offers information and advice for children, adolescents, and young adults who use or are at risk of substance use, as well as their families. They also provide support for problems related to dealing with...

  • Alcohol,
  • Cannabis, medications and other drugs,
  • excessive media use,
  • Eating disorders and
  • gambling

You can contact the counseling team. The consultation is confidential, and you do not have to give your name. Even if you are a social work professional, you can contact them if you have questions or are concerned about a case.



The counseling team consists of experienced social workers who have many years of experience in addiction or youth services. Support is confidential and available without a long waiting period. Together with you, we will find suitable solutions for your situation.

Prerequisites

  • They are a maximum of 21 years old and
  • They live in Hamburg or go to school in Hamburg and
  • You have questions or need support regarding your consumption.
  • Alternatively: You are a caregiver for a young person aged 21 or younger with a substance use problem, or you are a pedagogical professional supervising a young person who uses substances.

No documents are required.

Procedure

  • They contact the advice center by phone or email to find out about the services offered.
  • If necessary, arrange an appointment for an initial consultation.
  • During the conversation, you can calmly describe your request and ask any remaining questions.
  • Together with the consultant, you will find suitable solutions and discuss the next steps.
  • You will receive individual support and, if needed, referrals to other resources.

Processing time

You can usually get a consultation appointment within a few days. Further appointments depend on the individual case.

The consultation is free of charge.
