Social Pedagogical Training Center Hamburg (SPFZ) General Information

Prerequisites

• They are a social education professional and/or manager of a public and/or private organization in child and youth welfare and/or social work.

In exceptional cases, you can also participate as a staff member from a cooperating area (such as a teacher or other specialist from a school, the health sector, the police or the judiciary).

Are you interested in working as a childminder? The SPFZ offers a comprehensive range of courses for qualification and further training in the childminding qualification program.

Are you interested in a dual study program in Social Work? The Social Work Practice Office, part of the SPFZ (Social and Family Research Center), together with the Center for Training and Continuing Education (ZAF), is responsible for the dual, practice-integrated Social Work study program at the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg in cooperation with the Protestant University of Applied Sciences for Social Work & Diaconia. Please send your applications directly to the ZAF.

Furthermore, the SPFZ offers a work-integrated professional development program that enables you to enter the field of (partially) residential child and youth welfare services. The requirements for participation in "QuerStart_HzE" can be found on the website.

Deadlines

Whether and, if so, which deadlines apply (for example, for registration) can be found in the respective event announcement.

Procedure

• They independently find out about the current range of events on the homepage of the Social Pedagogical Training Center Hamburg (SPFZ) and register for one of the events.
• You will complete the event.
• You can download your certificate of participation from the learning portal.

The processing time depends on the type of event.

Information on whether and, if so, what costs will be incurred can be found in the respective event announcement.




The events are free of charge for the following groups of people:

• Public sector employees of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg,


• Volunteers working in social work (for example, foster parents, residential care facilities, etc.)


• Students of social pedagogy or pedagogy at Hamburg universities, provided that suitable documentation has been attached to the application (care certificate, enrollment certificate or equivalent)


• Childminders working in Hamburg
