Detailed description

Many administrative services are also available digitally. For courts, authorities, and offices to be able to assist you online, they need your legally valid consent and a way to contact you. Furthermore, the administration can only send you legally binding and sensitive communications if it can be certain that you are the correct person intended to receive them.



As a private individual, you can register for a service account or a service account plus for this purpose. The latter offers you the option of additionally identifying yourself via the online ID function of your identity card and thus using particularly secure online services.

Prerequisites

  • You have an email address.
  • To use the online service: You have a national identity card, an eID card or a residence permit, each with an online identification function.
  • For the appointment at the location: You have a national identity card, an eID card or a residence permit.

Please note

Your organization (for example, your company or government agency) has access to the Business service account. It provides access to online services on behalf of your organization.

Procedure

You can set up the Service Account Plus using your identity card and the online ID function with the ID card app or a card reader.



If you have a national identity card without an online identification function, first register with a simple service account.


They will then make a one-time in-person visit to a Hamburg Service location.


There you will present another identification document (for example, your passport).


Your service account will be upgraded to a Service Account Plus.
