Identity card, authorization to use a religious or artist name

Prerequisites

Before you apply for a religious order or artist name, a preliminary discussion is necessary to check whether the basic requirements have been met.

Please note

The entry of a religious or artist name is always connected with the application for a new identity card or passport.

Procedure

1. Pre-check by phone
   To check your basic requirements, send us an e-mail (see "Required documents").
2. Application for your monastic or artist name with all the necessary supporting documents.
3. If the local authority agrees to your entry request after examining your application, a separate appointment will be arranged.
4. At the appointment you will receive a certificate for the registration of your religious or artistic name.

Fees

New application to the Department of Home Affairs and Sport: 30 EUR
