Around 40 highly qualified people work in our laboratories, mostly chemical-technical assistants or chemical laboratory assistants who have specialized in the analysis of environmental samples. The four working groups in the department examine the samples together and in close coordination with the other departments in the environmental investigations area, so that efficient processes can be established.
We examine the environmental compartments of water, soil and air for a large number of organic and inorganic pollutants and trace substances, nutrients and other chemical parameters relevant to quality, and we work closely with the other specialist departments of the institute and the offices of the environmental authority.
