Answering inquiries about the names and addresses of clearly identified persons.
Information from the register of residents (e.g. new address) for dates from 01/01/1963 to 1987 can be obtained in person or by post, e-mail and fax. Information by telephone is not possible (exception: authorities). The requesting person / office will always receive the answer by post.
The department Central Registration Matters - Resident Register (see contact details) is exclusively responsible.
The Hamburg State Archives are responsible for registration data prior to 01.01.1963. Please contact the Hamburg State Archives (see link).

Specific information about the person you are looking for is required (surname, first name, date of birth or name and old address).
Documents required
- First and last name of the person you are looking for
- previous address or date of birth
- possibly a copy of the enforcement title (with extended information).

Der Haupteingang zum Harburger Rathausforum 3 befindet sich auf der Rückseite des Gebäudes und ist über den Innenhof des Gebäudekomplexes erreichbar. Um zum Innenhof zu gelangen, nutzen Sie den Zugang an der Knoopstraße. Der Hausbriefkasten befindet sich am Harburger Rathausplatz 1 (Rathaus). Es stehen keine Kundenparkplätze zur Verfügung.
