License plate, red license plate

Prerequisites

• Headquarters is Hamburg
• The craft or trade must actually be exercised.
• The pitches are located in Hamburg
• The person responsible must appear in person because of the instruction on how to use the red license plates
• the person responsible has a valid driver's license

Documents required

• ID card or passport
• Business registration (not older than 4 weeks)
• Excerpt from the commercial register for companies
• electronic confirmation of insurance -eVB code- for red license plates (available from motor vehicle insurance),
• Certificate of good conduct (feature O to be applied for from the registration authority for official purposes).
• Proof of parking space for three parking spaces (e.g. rental agreement with the landowner)
• Appointment confirmation

Please note

• Processing takes place exclusively at the Hamburg-Nord location.
• For transfer trips abroad, you should inform yourself in advance about the regulations in the respective country. In case of doubt, an export license plate is recommended for the transfer.

Appointment booking (also applies to picking up the license plate)

1. Visit the website to book an appointment (see link below)
2. Select the service group: Red license plates (commercial customers)
3. Select the service: Apply for red license plates for dealers
4. Use location selection to display appointments at a specific location
   Use the date picker to find the next available date regardless of your location
5. Select a free appointment (date and time) in the calendar displayed
6. Enter your name and email address to book.
7. You will receive an email, please confirm the appointment.

You will then receive a confirmation of the appointment. Please bring this with you to the appointment.

Deadlines

The allocation is only limited to one year. Before this period has expired, the application for an extension can be submitted.

Fees

192-220 EUR. The exact amount of the fee can only be determined on site by submitting the complete documents.
