Detailed description
The aim of Origin-Arrival-Future is to provide culturally sensitive information about the addiction support system in Hamburg and to convey information on the subject of addiction in the communities and in the mother tongue. The focus of interest is on removing taboos from the subject of addiction among migrants. For this purpose, the project is supported by volunteer multipliers, the so-called keypersons, who bring their specially trained knowledge of this topic to individual events. Issues such as addiction and prevention can often be conveyed more credibly by migrants in their communities. They know the challenges of migration from their own experience and can assess personal and linguistic difficulties and help to overcome them. The keypersons pass on the knowledge they have acquired in the course of the training in information events they conduct independently on the addiction support system in Hamburg. In addition, the outpatient and inpatient addiction prevention and addiction support facilities have the opportunity to work together with the keypersons and to draw attention to their offers. Are you interested in an event in a specific language on an addiction-specific topic? The keypersons come to your facilities on request for 6 or more people and provide information on general addiction issues or special topics relating to the subject of 'addiction'. The offer is not about addiction counseling, but about showing ways and possibilities to prevent addiction from developing in the first place and providing information on the addiction support system in Hamburg. The information events are anonymous and voluntary! Languages: The project is aimed at migrants with the following mother tongues: Albanian, English, Farsi / Persian, French, Kurdish, Malinké, Polish, Russian, Spanish, Turkish, Twi. There are information leaflets about this project in German with English, Farsi / Persian, French, Russian and Turkish. There is also an information flyer in German, with a brief presentation of the project offer. These flyers can be downloaded from our website www.sucht-hamburg.de or ordered free of charge from the Hamburg State Office for Addiction Issues.
