Detailed description
On June 1, 1965, the Hamburg-Haus Eimsbüttel opened its doors for the residents of the district as a meeting place. Here, all classes and age groups are given the opportunity to engage in a wide range of activities. There are small and large meeting rooms for clubs and groups. A parents' school, a senior citizens' club, a girls' center, a public book hall, a café run by the Winterhuder Werkstätten are a permanent institution in the house and enhance the offer for young and old. In the middle of the house there are two ballrooms and a connecting wing, large exhibition hall. Exhibitions with changing content take place here on a regular basis. The intention behind this house is to create a meeting place for everyone under one roof. This is what makes this institution so valuable in its diversity and complexity in particular.
