Detailed description
You must submit a business deregistration if you close down a permanent business as a head office, branch office or dependent branch office. This is the case with
- complete task
- Change of legal form
- Resignation of a shareholder
- Transfer to another registration district
- Transfer according to the Transformation Act (e.g. merger, demerger)
- Transfer (inheritance, purchase or lease)
If you move to a new location outside of your registration district, first deregister your business at your previous location. Then re-register it at your new location.
If you change the legal form of your business, you will also need to deregister your business. First, you must deregister your business under the previous legal form. Then you must re-register your business under the new legal form.
If you move the head office or a branch or a dependent branch of the company to a new location within the registration district, a business re-registration is sufficient.
By registering a business, you enable the responsible authority to monitor the business activity and collect statistical data.
