Examination of the required theoretical knowledge to obtain a driver's license.

- completed theoretical training
- Registration for the theory test
Documents required
- Applicant guide card (formerly theory card)
- If necessary, training certificate from the driving school (for the first theory test)
- ID card or passport.
Please note
Change of registration procedure for the theoretical examination from May 1st, 2017.
From May 1st, 2017, please only contact a driving school to take the theoretical test. From there, an appointment for the theory test can be arranged for you.
Personal appearance 15 minutes before the start of the exam required! The theory exams only take place on the PC.
The applicant guide card is created by the driving school once the training has been completed and the learner driver is registered for the test. Registration is through the driving school.
The theory test can be taken in the following languages:
German, English, French, Spanish, Russian, Polish, Turkish, Romanian, Greek, Italian, Portuguese, Serbo-Croatian.

EUR 20.83, usually already paid for by the driving school.
