The first months and years of life are particularly important for a child's healthy development.
Pregnancy and birth in particular are often associated with major changes and uncertainty for pregnant women, mothers, fathers and families. Overload in everyday life, social isolation, psychological stress, addiction problems, illnesses, young age or material poverty can lead to excessive demands.
During this time, as (expectant) parents, you need information, advice and support that strengthens and supports you in your efforts to ensure that your child grows up healthy and well.
The early help field of action offers you as (expectant) parents or families with infants and small children between the ages of zero and three years this support around birth and the first years of life.
Central offers include, for example, baby guides at maternity hospitals, family teams close to home and regional network structures. Family midwives, family health and child nurses, and social educators offer health and psychosocial help in difficult life situations and support in coping with everyday life with the newborn . If necessary, they accompany you as a family, for example to appointments with doctors or authorities. With your consent, they will refer you to other supporting bodies in the regional network if necessary.
All early help services are free.
