As a trainee, you will get to know the structures and processes in public administration in three different stations during the 18-month trainee program.

Prerequisites
- Commitment, flexibility, initiative and motivation
- Desire to manage and take on management responsibility
- Academic university degree (master's degree or equivalent) in economics (economics, business administration) or administrative, political, historical or social sciences (unfortunately, applications with a bachelor's degree as the highest degree cannot be considered.)
- Above-average academic performance, as evidenced by examination statistics if possible
- Pronounced interest in managerial tasks
- Enjoyment of shaping and accompanying change processes
- In-depth interest in topics of administration, politics, economics and digitization
- Intercultural competence for work in a diverse city, e.g. evidenced by your own career and experience, training or job-related stays abroad or other commitment
Documents required
- Meaningful cover letter
- Tabular CV
- Complete university certificate (bachelor's and master's degree or diploma certificate) including certificate, examination certificate, overview of individual grades and, if available: examination statistics.
- In the case of a foreign degree, recognition or evaluation of certificates by the Conference of Ministers of Education and Cultural Affairs of the federal states
- Copy of the high school diploma
- Copies of certificates from relevant internships and previous professional activities

Procedure
The junior management program is continuously recruited. The selection takes place within the framework of a four-stage selection process. After you have been selected on the basis of your application documents and have successfully passed an online test, you will be invited to an interview at the personnel office. In the further selection process, you will take part in a full-day assessment center in the Hamburg City Hall, in which our future junior staff will be selected.
