External examination First general school leaving certificate (formerly secondary school leaving certificate)
The external examination gives the opportunity to acquire the first general school leaving certificate (formerly the main school leaving certificate) at a later date. The prerequisite is, among other things, that the examinees do not attend any state or state-recognized Hamburg schools that lead to their first general school leaving certificate. Further admission requirements can be found in the external examination regulations.
Registration form (available in the SIZ), passport photo (not older than three months), curriculum vitae with a detailed description of the educational path, photocopy of the birth certificate or passport copy (proof / certificate in the case of name change), photocopy of the diploma or certificate of leaving certificate of the state or state attended last Recognized general education and, if applicable, vocational school, if applicable the last certificate from the private school or preparatory institution, in the case of independent preparation, a detailed, subject-related description of the preparation
