Detailed description
The European Social Fund Plus (ESF Plus) is a European Union funding program for employment, social participation, education, and training. ESF Plus funds support projects that facilitate people's entry into working life, improve educational opportunities, and reduce disadvantages in the labor market.
As a citizen, you cannot apply directly for ESF funding. Instead, funding agencies such as educational institutions, associations, or job centers receive ESF funding to implement projects such as language courses, continuing education, or counseling services. As a citizen, you can then use these services free of charge or at a low cost, thus indirectly benefiting from the funding.
If you would like to know which ESF-funded opportunities are available in your area, the relevant office can advise you. If you are a representative of a public body interested in becoming part of the ESF, you can also get advice on how to apply for funding and implement projects.
