If you are in great distress and see no way out, you can place your newborn in one of the baby hatches (First Baby Aid) set up in Hamburg, for example at SterniPark eV in the Wilhelmsburg children's home.

You don't have to give birth in secret! You can give birth in any Hamburg hospital with an obstetrics department without revealing your name and leave the hospital without your baby.

  • You close the flap and it locks automatically.
  • You remain anonymous throughout the entire process and can leave the location unnoticed.
  • By closing the flap, the specialist staff is informed and then takes care of the child.
