Important notes
Prerequisites
If the above-mentioned profession is regulated as the country of origin in an EU member state, an equivalent degree must always be proven.
An equivalent degree is given if there are no significant differences between the foreign degree and the corresponding German degree. It is necessary that the right to practice the profession is given in the country of origin.
If the profession is not regulated in the country of origin, proof must be provided that the profession was practiced full-time for two years (one year from 2016) in the previous ten years and that one or more certificates of qualification or training exist.
The same applies to third-country nationals insofar as there is equality with regard to the recognition of training certificates under European Community law.
Documents required
- Proof of identity (ID card or passport)
- Proof of completion of training
- If necessary, evidence of two years of professional experience
- Other qualifications (e.g. for professional training)
