Addiction is an illness and requires treatment, like any other illness. There are numerous counseling centers that offer support to you as an affected person or a relative. Trained and experienced counselors are available to help you there. The services are aimed at people with
- alcohol or drug problems,
- drug addiction and
- gaming or media addiction.
You can contact these agencies if you suffer from an addiction yourself, but also as a relative of someone with an addiction problem. If you wish, all conversations you have with the counselors will remain anonymous. Just like doctors, addiction counselors are also obliged to maintain confidentiality - even when it comes to questions about illegal drugs.
