Prerequisites
You are carrying out an activity aimed at obtaining geological data.
Documents required
The required documents will be provided to you during the procedure. You may be required to provide documents containing the data or information specified below.
- Name and purpose of the investigation, as well as the name and address of the person conducting the investigation and the client
- Nature, method, expected scope and planned duration of the investigation
- Location of the area and, if possible, graphical representation of the measuring points
- for drilling, planned borehole designation, location, starting height, borehole course, planned final depth, predicted rock layers, borehole measurements, type of drilling method, as well as expected storage location and duration for core samples and samples
- for other geological investigations such as recordings of outcrops or sampling, location of the investigation points, type of investigation, extraction method, if possible graphic representations, expected storage location and duration for rock and soil samples
- When revising publicly available technical and assessment data, evidence data showing which technical and assessment data are included in the geological investigation.
Please note
The notification of geological investigations in accordance with the Geology Data Act does not replace the obligation to notify earth outcrops or drillings in accordance with the Water Resources Act (Section 49 WHG) or the Federal Mining Act (BBergG) or the application for water or mining law procedures. These must be submitted separately to the authorities responsible for the drilling location in compliance with the statutory deadlines.
Hand drilling and drilling for structural elements such as anchors, dowels, bored piles, etc. do not require notification.
Deadlines
You must notify geological surveys 2 weeks before work begins. After completion of the geological survey, you must submit the technical data obtained within 3 months and the evaluation data obtained within 6 months.
