State Office for Geoinformation and Surveying (LGV)

Reference system, data delivery

If you need height and position benchmarks for the connection of surveys of all kinds, you've come to the right place.

Detailed description

Height and position reference points are provided for connecting all types of surveys to the official reference system. Data on the points (heights, coordinates, measurements) are available for download free of charge (see link).

For property surveys, topographical recordings and many other spatial tasks, every position must be determinable nationwide according to location, height and gravity in a three-dimensional coordinate system. This is achieved through the surveying spatial reference, a nationwide uniform, homogeneous fixed point field. The fixed point field consists of fixed position points, geodetic basic network points, fixed height points, fixed gravity points and SAPOS® reference station points.
