Special permit for driving on weight-restricted roads and closed roads

Prerequisites

The following information is required:

• Justification for the purpose of using the vehicle
• Information on the activities to be carried out
• License number

If necessary, more detailed information on the location is required if an exemption is only requested for certain streets or, for example, a pedestrian zone.

Documents required

• informal, written application (if necessary on company header sheet) with justification,
• Information on the affected route, the construction site, the weight of the vehicle and the transported goods and the period of use
• Copy of the vehicle registration document
• Order confirmation, if available

Please note

The LBV is responsible if the approval is to be valid for longer than 3 months. Otherwise the responsibility lies with the local police station.

The exemption is granted for a maximum of one year.

Fees

The fee is 110 euros per year (non-binding fee information). The exact calculation is based on the actual effort and is based on the fee schedule for road traffic measures (GebOSt).
