If out-of-court legal services are to be provided for a fee, an entry in the legal services register is required

Prerequisites

- Evidence of training and evidence of previous professional practice
- criminal record
- Declaration that there are no insolvency proceedings in progress and that there was no entry in the debtor register in the last 3 years prior to filing the application
- Declaration as to whether the admission to the bar has been refused, withdrawn or revoked in the last 3 years (copy of the decision if applicable)

Please note
Complaints about a person registered in the Legal Services Register should be addressed to the President of the District Court.
Documents to prove the theoretical and practical knowledge:
- Certificates, especially about a successfully completed specialist course
- Job references as proof of practical expertise
- If the personal suitability and reliability as well as the theoretical and practical expertise are available, the registration authority will also ask for proof of professional liability insurance

Service description
An entry in the register is necessary if the following extrajudicial legal services are to be provided against payment: Collection services, pension advice (in the field of statutory pension and accident insurance, social compensation law, other social security and severely disabled law with reference to a statutory pension as well as corporate and professional care) as well as legal services in a foreign law.
Out-of-court legal services in areas other than those mentioned may only be provided to the extent permitted by the Legal Services Act or other laws.

A night mailbox is at the main entrance to the civil justice building (AG and LG Hamburg only). The mailbox is outside d. Working hours d. Common acceptance point available and at the end of work d. Collection point open at 4 p.m. (Fri 3 p.m.). At midnight, the separating flap in the mailbox automatically falls due to a timer. On the next working day the mailbox will be emptied and the contents will be stamped accordingly.
