Hazardous waste is waste that, due to its chemical, biological or physical properties, can be harmful to humans and the environment.



You can get advice on the disposal of hazardous waste in order to dispose of hazardous waste safely, in an environmentally friendly and legally compliant manner. The advice covers a wide range of services and information relating to the entire disposal process. It ensures that all legal requirements are met, risks to health and the environment are reduced through professional disposal and promotes environmentally friendly disposal and recycling methods.

  • As a local authority, you would like advice on the disposal of hazardous waste.
  • As a private individual, you would like advice on the disposal of hazardous waste.

Please note

As an industrial or commercial company, you can receive support in the disposal of hazardous waste generated during production or maintenance.


As a local authority, you can, for example, receive advice on organizing collection points or hazardous waste collections.


As a private individual, you can obtain information about the correct disposal of hazardous waste, for example at municipal recycling centers.



The contents of the consultation can be, for example:

  • identification and classification
    • Support in the correct classification of waste as hazardous
    • Application of the criteria from the waste catalogue (AVV/EAV) and dangerous goods law.
  • storage and transport
    • Advice on legal requirements for storage, such as safety regulations and labelling requirements
    • Support in organizing transport, for example according to ADR regulations (dangerous goods law)

    • Recommendations for certified disposal companies and special disposal facilities
