Detailed description

You are studying law in Hamburg and would like to have credits you earned during your studies abroad or before changing your place of study to Hamburg at a law faculty recognized as foreign language certificates, basic certificates or key qualification certificates before registering for the state compulsory subject examination.


You can obtain a corresponding certificate during an appointment at the office hours of the State Examination Office for Law after presenting the required documents.

Prerequisites

She

  • studying law at a university in Hamburg,
  • intend to complete your studies with the First State Examination in Law in Hamburg and
  • You wish to have credits earned as a foreign language certificate, basic certificate or key qualification certificate within the meaning of Section 13 Paragraph 2 No. 1 to 3 HmbJAG recognized before registering for the state compulsory subject examination, which you have earned during your studies abroad or before changing your place of study to Hamburg at a law faculty.

Documents required

Original proof of achievements from the Faculty of Law (stamped and signed); reference is also made to the information sheet on the Hamburg Law on the Training of Judges (HmbJAG), which is available on the JPA website.

Deadlines

You should schedule an appointment well in advance of your application for admission to the state compulsory subject examination.
