Apply for social assistance, one-off needs according to § 31 SGB XII

Prerequisites

• You will receive basic income support (according to SGBXII) or assistance for living expenses.
• They are unable to work or do not have enough income or assets to cover the one-off costs themselves.

Documents required

• Evidence to justify the need for support
• current bank statements

If you are not currently receiving benefits under the Social Code (SGB) Book XII:

• Checklist and explanation (available upon request)
• Proof of income and assets
• Proof of insurance contributions

• If you are able to work, please contact your job center.
• The rental agreement should be checked regarding kitchen equipment.

Deadlines

This assistance begins as soon as the responsible authority or an agency commissioned by it becomes aware that the conditions for the benefit are met.

Procedure

• You can inform the relevant authority of your need for assistance without any formal requirements. Please state exactly what you need.
• You will receive a notification after your application has been reviewed.
