Detailed description
If you require care, you can initially receive benefits from long-term care insurance. If these are insufficient and your need for care is due to a recognized disability or its consequences, you can also apply for social compensation benefits.
This includes, for example, financial support if you employ a caregiver at home (employer model) or are cared for by your spouse or child. The costs for a caregiver can also be reimbursed during inpatient treatment. Furthermore, you may be eligible for in-kind benefits such as a wheelchair or a hospital bed.
