If you are entitled to social compensation, you may also be eligible for special benefits in individual cases. These benefits are not granted automatically, but only if you have a special situation or need.
Among the special achievements are:
- Benefits for living expenses: These are intended to secure your necessary and reasonable daily living needs (for example, housing and heating costs).
- Benefits to promote education: If your education is supported by BAföG as a loan because the injury makes this necessary, the responsible authority can, upon application, take over the repayment of your loan.
- Benefits to maintain the household: If you have your own household, these benefits can be granted if neither you nor other household members are able to manage the household.
- Benefits in other special life situations: This includes individual cases in which additional support is necessary.
